Columbus North is well represented on the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association All-State team.
Hank Lin, who won the state singles title, was named First-Team All-State in singles. Parth Shah was named Second-Team All-State is singles, and Michael Crossman and Sashu Sabapathy were named Second-Team All-State in doubles.
Jennings County’s Parker Bales was named honorable mention in singles.
Locals named ISCA Academic All-State
Several players from Columbus North and Columbus East were selected to this year’s Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.
East’s Isaac Going, Eli Ostram, Jon Ruch, Ian Scholl, Jonathan Sylva and Brady Wiltsey; and North’s Sam Brown, Konnor Gribbins, Leo Iorio, Freddy Madero, Noah Marsh and Ben Stevens made the boys team.
East’s Emma Christie, Jo Conrad, Sophie Glick, Meg Going, Paige Loichinger, Sherlyn Rivas and Cadence Zeser; and North’s Hayden Bigler, Amelia Corney, Anna Halstead, Kaitlin Kasidas, Allison Kolhouse, Rachel Merritt, Brooklyn Pendleton, Gabby Revell, Libby Richards, Gabby Spurgeon and Paige Terry made the girls team.
Also, the ISCA released its Top Team Player awards.
Zeser was Top Team Player for the Olympian girls team and Ian Scholl for the East boys. For the Bull Dogs, Page Mora was named top player for the girls and Gribbins for the boys.
Locals named IHSVCA Academic All-State
Several local players were named to this year’s Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.
Columbus East’s Addison Emery, Jenna Thomas, Kimberly Carothers and Rahianna Logan; Columbus North’s Holly Evans, Kennedy Horn, Lucy Wilson and Reese Edwards; Jennings County’s Ava Ebbing, Avynn Belding, Lauren Hauersperger and Mallory Manowitz; South Decatur’s Lydia Witkemper, Makayla Somers and Paige McQueen and Trinity Lutheran’s Ava Blomenberg, Carson Bowling and Laura Roeder won the Gold Award.
North’ Ally Wettschurack and Trinity’s Madison Keith won the Silver Award.
