The Bartholomew County Treasurer’s office is reminding taxpayers that fall property txes are due Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The office is reminding taxpayers it will be closed Tuesday for election day and Nov. 11 for Veteran’s Day.
Payment options include:
1. MAIL – Remit payment to Bartholomew County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1986, Columbus, IN 47202. (Postmarked by due date to be considered on time)
2. IN PERSON – Government Office Building, 440 Third St, Suite 103, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
3. DROP BOX – Two 24 hour drop boxes are located at the Government Office Building, 440 Third Street. One is at Third Street across from Crump Theatre and the second on Franklin Street by the back entrance.
4. BANKS – Several Bartholomew County banks will be accepting payments prior to due date, including Centra Credit Union, First Financial Bank, Jackson County Bank, Horizon Bank and German American.
5. ONLINE BANKING or PHONE – Pay by credit/debit card or e-check at www.bartholomew.in.gov (View/Pay Taxes Online). Pay by phone, 844-278-9126. (Note: a convenience fee will be assessed).
