JASPER — Trinity Lutheran is headed to the Volleyball State Finals.
The Class A No. 1 Cougars swept a pair of opponents Saturday to capture the Jasper Semistate. They beat Springs Valley 25-16, 25-19, 25-15 and Indianapolis Lutheran 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.
Laura Roeder led Trinity with 21 digs and six aces against Springs Valley. Madison Keith pounded 14 kills, and Addie Darlage recorded 39 assists.
Roeder tallied 17 digs and six aces to lead the Cougars against Indianapolis Lutheran. Carson Bowling and Rachel Bonde each notched 10 kills, and Darlage had 33 assists.
Trinity (29-8) will play Faith Christian in the Class A state title game at 11 a.m. Nov. 9 at Ball State’s Worthen Arena.
