Culver’s donating $150,000 to JJ Watt Foundation to support middle school athletics

Over the past two months, Culver’s gave guests everywhere the opportunity to eat like football superstar JJ Watt—all while giving back to a good cause in the process. As the JJ’s Way meal concludes, the restaurant chain has officially announced it will be making a $150,000 donation to the JJ Watt Foundation.

From Aug. 5 through Sept. 29, every time a guest ordered their meal JJ’s Way, Culver’s donated $1 to the JJ Watt Foundation to support after-school athletics programs at middle schools across the nation.

Culver’s sold more than 138,000 meals during the time period and ultimately decided to increase the donation to $150,000 to show appreciation for JJ’s partnership and support for his foundation’s mission.

Growing up a Culver’s fanatic in Pewaukee, Wis., Watt fulfilled a childhood dream by announcing the JJ’s Way meal at Culver’s. The meal, which included a Culver’s Deluxe, Wisconsin Cheese Curds, Culver’s Signature Root Beer and a Turtle Sundae (with Chocolate Fresh Frozen Custard), was met by enthusiastic support by guests across Culver’s 26 states.

Founded in 2011, the JJ Watt Foundation has donated over $7.1 million to support after-school athletics.
