American Red Cross: Needs client caseworkers to help clients get back on their feet after a disaster. Caseworkers meet with clients at the client’s convenience to establish a recovery plan and connect them with community resources. Skills required: excellent customer service and communication, ability to be empathetic, good writing skills; computer skills are a plus. Bartholomew County Triad: Needs two to three volunteers to distribute a community needs assessment throughout the community. The Triad is a partnership between local law enforcement, older adults and community groups. Hours: Flexible. Time commitment: Five to 10 hours over a two-month time span.
