Indiana University senior Ali Patberg, who last week was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award Preseason Watch List for the nation’s top point guards, has been selected to a pair of Watch Lists for National Player of the Year.
On Tuesday, the Columbus North graduate was named to both the Naismith Top 50 Watch List and the Preseason Wade Watch List. The Wade Watch list features 33 players. The Naismith List will be cut from 50 to a Midseason 30 Team in early February.
Patberg led the Hoosiers with 15.6 points and 5.3 assists and added 4.6 rebounds a game last season in earning All-Big Ten and honorable mention All-American honors. She is a preseason All-Big Ten pick this year.
