A longtime local tradition thought to be gone, the Indiana Amateur Championship returned to Otter Creek Golf Course for the first time in four years.

1996

Twelve new Columbus Police cars reverted from red, white and blue paint jobs to the more traditional black and white color combination and were equipped with mobile data terminals paid for with a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice.

1971

The churches of the Ecumenical Assembly of Bartholomew County dedicated and held an open house to unveil a mobile van to be staffed by volunteers and  offering medical care primarily for school children whose families could not pay.
