PLANT CITY, FL

Sharon Christine Spicer, 76, passed on June 13, 2021 while sleeping peacefully at her home in Plant City, FL. She was born on November 3, 1944 to Dale and Betty Stitsworth.

She graduated from Columbus High School in 1962. In 1974 she married Kenny Spicer.

As a firefighter and EMT instructor, in the 1970s she eventually became the fist female officer (Captain) in the Fire Department. Quite an accomplishment at the time. Other jobs included working for the Federal Express and at Camp Atterbury.

In the 1990s she became a loving grandmother to Nine grandchildren.

She taught Sunday School and Women’s Bible Study classes in church and loved Jesus.

She was a kind-hearted woman, a loving mother who spoiled her grandchildren but over all was a sweet with a side of zest. She urged us all to do our best, follow our arrow and make something amazing out of our lives.

Survived by children, Debbie Morgan, Patty (Daren) Melton, Leanne (Clyde) Reese; siblings, Stuart, Henry Stitsworth, Diane Hardin; grandchildren Michelle, Steve, Joe, Jeremy, Courtney, Brandon, Whitney, Josh and Cody.

Preceded in death by her parents; Children, Bob and Lori; and siblings, Steve and Bill Stitsworth.
