Around Town – June 30

Orchids to …

• the housekeepers at the hospital, whose important work helps keep us safe.

• all of the friendly strangers who helped us find my friend’s lost dog on Sunday.

• the high level cabinet member who clearly stated no evidence of election fraud has been found, and that ongoing claims are just lies.

• those from Israel and Mexico helping in the search for those trapped in the Florida condo collapse.

• Loesch Heating and Air Conditioning for prompt and courteous service in Taylorsville.

• Airman Mires for assisting Joyce in and out of the car on Thursday, from the Blackburn family.

• Larry Detwiler for your help with the tractor, from Evelyn.

• Carl the barber who’s come a long way, from an old walking friend.

• Columbus BMV workers for the efficient, friendly assistance and great customer service.

Onions to …

• people who take their dogs on long walks, or runs, during this extreme heat and humidity.

• the city that doesn’t understand you can’t spell consultant without “con.”

• the city that can’t take care of the roads we have but so desperately wants to be a mini Carmel with mini roundabouts.

• everything becoming politicalized.

• those responsible for checking our parks for not stopping and walking around our playgrounds and parks to make sure they are safe for children.

• the federal elected official for making us ask where’s the cheap gas, where’s the safe border protecting America, and where are the police when we need them.

• the federal elected official which has increased our national debt to more than $11 trillion in his first six months in office.

• those responsible for charging $5 each for a person to ride the ferris wheel.

• those who blame the racecar driver for another’s death when they were cleared and the deceased was impaired and left his car during the race.

• people complaining constantly about their little aches and pains.

• the local commercial van making an illegal U-turn on the interstate on Monday.

• do-nothing federal officials.

• those blaming one racecar driver for the death of another who got out and ran into the middle of the track while the race was going on.

• defining “racism” as an area having a majority of one race, I guess that makes most countries racist.

Happy Birthday to …

• Keith Bode, from your family, Donna and Diana Sue.

• Rhonda, from Dwight Burdine.

ANOTHER beautiful morning
