Orin James “Jim” Ogle

Orin James “Jim” Ogle, age 86, of Brown County passed away Saturday afternoon, July 31, 2021 at the Brown County Health and Living Community in Nashville. Born February 1, 1935 in Columbus, Indiana, he was the son of Warren and Edith (Beauchamp) Ogle. Jim worked as a brick mason most all his life and was involved with the construction of numerous buildings in Columbus as well as the Seasons Lodge in Nashville. He was a member of Pikes Peak Church of Christ and enjoyed being outdoors, both as a small family farmer and avid bird hunter and dog trainer. He was involved in many field trial competitions with his hunting dogs.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie (Rose) Ogle, of Brown County, his son, Mark (Gail) Ogle, of Mooresville; his daughter, Lori (Drew) Myers, of Monroe City, Indiana, one sister, Mary Louise Fleetwood, of Nashville; four grandchildren, Maddie (Lester) Burris, of Bedford, Indiana, Hannah (Joel) Karl, of Indianapolis, Libby Myers, of Indianapolis and Camden Ogle, of Martinsville and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Cody Ogle.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4 at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home; 1682 St. Rd. 135 North in Nashville. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Pikes Peak Church of Christ.
