North to hold softball tryouts
Columbus North will be holding tryouts for its softball team from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. Monday at the school’s indoor batting cages. The Bull Dogs are hoping to have enough players for a junior varsity team this season.

Shooting sports program available
The Hoosier Hills Rifle and Pistol Club sponsors a shooting sports program for boys and girls ages 13 to 21. Youth learn gun safety and marksmanship skills and earn skill awards using 22-caliber rifles shooting at paper targets at an outdoor range.
Certified instructors and coaches are provided. Training and practice sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings starting March 16.

Scipio Baseball signups underway
Signups for Scipio Baseball League are now open for kids who will be 4 to 9 years old as of July 31. The registration fee is $20 and can be paid online.
