EDINBURGH — Class A No. 7 Edinburgh won its first sectional title since 2018 with a 49-38 win against West Washington in Saturday’s Edinburgh Sectional final.
The Lancers (22-3) trailed 14-12 after one quarter before rallying for a 23-17 halftime lead. Edinburgh led 36-27 after three quarters.
Caleb Dewey and Travis Jones each scored 16 points to lead the Lancers. Riley Palmeter added 12.
Edinburgh advances to play Class A No. 2 North Daviess in the Loogootee Regional semifinals at 10 a.m. Saturday. The regional final will be at 8 p.m. Saturday.
