James Leon Myers

Reverend James Leon Myers, 79 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away March 3, 2022 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born October 10, 1942 in Columbus, Indiana. He was the son of Reverend Grover J. and Louise (Crouch) Myers. He married Jackie (Streeval) Myers on May 24, 1990 and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, James E.(Chassity) Myers of Columbus, Indiana, Jack (Lisa) Myers of Greensburg, Indiana, and Jeff Burton of Nineveh, Indiana, daughters, Jessica Myers of Brown County, Indiana, and Neciah Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, expected in June, and brothers, Stephen W. (Nancy) Myers, Timothy J. Myers of Edinburgh, Indiana, Paul E. (Bonnie) Myers of Edinburgh, Indiana, Mark J. (Elizabeth) Myers of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Nathan R. (Barbara) Myers of Franklin, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Robert W. Myers, Debbie Myers, Christina L. Myers, and Doug Burton, grandchildren, Keisha Burton and Nicholas Myers, brother, Noland Earl Myers, and sister, Marcella D. Schoolcraft.

Jim was a member of the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. He was Pastor of Grace Apostolic Assembly in Taylorsville, Indiana. He was a retired self-employed home builder. He enjoyed coring, fishing, and building homes.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverends Mark Myers and Ron Tiller at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8 and from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
