COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Ruth Ann Eudy, 83, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Eudy was born in Nebraska, Indiana, May 20, 1939, the loving daughter of Virgil Max and Lela Grace Leahigh Thomas. On June 23, 1956, Ruth Ann married Alton “Ted” Eudy; he preceded her in death November 20, 2011.
A homemaker, Mrs. Eudy was the co-owner with her husband of Eudy Sales and Service on Gladstone Avenue in Columbus for many years. She always enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and the boat, and she had a love for cats.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Tim (Jo Ann) Eudy of Columbus, Randy (Karla) Eudy of Columbus, and Danny (Betty) Eudy of Columbus; grandchildren, Leann, Eric, Allison, Haven, Spencer, Bryn, Michayla, Leah, and Lindsey; several great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Marita Holley of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Eudy was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Lela Thomas; husband, Ted; daughter and son-in-law, Terri Ann and Bill Satterfield; grandson, Adam Eudy; step-grandson, Shane Satterfield; great-granddaughter, Tapanga Marie Eudy; brothers, Max Lee, Dick, Alfred, and Chuck Thomas; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in Section 57 at the Garland Brook Cemetery; Virgil Clotfelter will officiate. There will be no visitation.
