Asbury United Methodist Church — Asbury offers a traditional service at 8:45 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. J.A.M. (children’s church) is offered at both services. The church also offers Sunday school classes at 10 a.m.

Every Thursday when school is in full-day session, a $4 taco/chicken lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with Pit Stop (Taco Church) Lunch.

East Columbus Christian Church — East Columbus Christian Church is open for in-person worship on Sunday mornings with a blended worship service at 10 a.m. The church also has online worship available through Facebook and YouTube.
Sunday morning Bible study is at 9 a.m. Youth meet at the church from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and children’s ministry meets through Zoom on Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

East Columbus United Methodist Church — Pastor Jongmin Lee will bring the message at the 9 a.m. Sunday worship service. The blended worship service includes praise music, traditional hymns and children’s moment. Sunday school is held immediately following the morning service, and classes are available for all ages and Bible interests. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.
A free hot meal will be served Nov. 13 and the second Sunday of each month at 5 p.m. in the Youth Center Building. All are welcome to come.

Faith Lutheran Church — Worship each Sunday begins at 9 a.m. in-person and livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page. Most Sundays, Sunday school and an adult Bible study are offered from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Wednesday evening worship (masks required) takes place at 6:30 p.m. each week. First Presbyterian Church — On All Saints Sunday, the church remembers and celebrates the saints of the church who passed away (particularly over the last year). The word saint means “one who is set apart,” because in the church we believe God sets apart each of us for a specific purpose. Our passages will be Haggai 1:15b-2:9; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5, 13-17; Luke 20:27-38. The sermon will be titled “When we remember.” We will be led in worship by the Sanctuary Choir on this communion service. First United Methodist Church — On Sunday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m., the Rev. Howard Boles will deliver the message, “Threading Through the Congregation”. The scripture will be John 15:1-5, 12-17. This will be our All Saints Sunday. As part of the service, the Chancel Choir will be singing Faure’s Requiem. This moving and inspiring service will remember and celebrate loved ones who have died.
The church encourages those attending in person to arrive 10 minutes before the service. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrances to the sanctuary. Masks are optional. Childcare will be available from 9:45 a.m. until the end of the 10 a.m. service.
For those unable to attend the in-person service or not yet comfortable meeting in person, service livestreams will be available on the church Facebook page, and the church YouTube channel (FUMC Columbus). Videos will be available on the church website for later viewing as well.
On Sunday, Nov. 13, the youth of FUMC will lead worship. Come and support the congregation’s children and youth as they share God’s word.
On Saturday, Nov. 19, the church will have its 32nd annual Cookie Walk. You can create your own box of decorated and specialty cookies sold by the pound ($7), and fudge, divinity, and other candies by the half pound ($5) including allergy-friendly and vegan treats. Stop by the church between 9 a.m. and noon on Nov. 19 to buy some cookies. Flintwood Wesleyan Church — Sunday morning worship begins at 9 a.m. with the Amplify (contemporary) service. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. with classes for all age groups. Garden City Christian Church — Sunday School classes are available for infants through adults at 9 a.m. On Nov. 6, Pastor Brian Gilroy teaches how to experience the victory of unwavering faith, as the church learns about an unlikely hero delivering God’s chosen people, in the sermon series, “Five Smooth Stones”.
If you are a caregiver, join the church’s Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group, which meets on the first Tuesday of each month, from 4:30 until 6 p.m.

Petersville United Methodist Church — Pastor Rebecca Milne will be using scripture from Luke 6:20-31 when she brings her sermon, “Serve With Love,” on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the 9 a.m. worship service. She will stress to the congregation that in order to bless our neighbor, Jesus invites us to serve. All Saint’s Sunday will be observed and there will be a remembrance of loved ones who have passed away during the past year.
There will be a recognition of Veterans and those currently serving in the armed services at the Nov. 13 service.
Communion will not be served until Sunday, Nov. 20, Christ the King Sunday.
Kathy Bush will serve as worship leader. Teresa Covert will share a message with the children. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.
The United Methodist Men’s group will be meeting prior to the service at 7:15 a.m.
Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m., the study, “The Chosen,” will continue with a video followed by a discussion led by Pastor Milne. Those attending may bring their own snack or brown bag supper.
On Nov. 13, following the morning service, the congregation will share a meal together at 11 a.m. to celebrate Thanksgiving; turkey, dressing and noodles will be provided, and those attending may sign up in the sanctuary to bring a salad, vegetable, or dessert.

Sandy Hook United Methodist Church — Sandy Hook United Methodist Church gathers weekly for in-person and online worship. The church will offer two services on Sunday, Nov. 6 — the traditional service at 8:45 a.m. and the contemporary service at 11 a.m.
Nursery is available for children 2 and younger from 8:30 a.m. through the end of second service. Sunday School is offered for all ages between the two services.
On Sunday, Nov. 13, the youth of Sandy Hook will be offering an inside movie, dinner and bingo in a “Love Your Neighbor” event. The movie is “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” with Tom Hanks and will be at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Bingo will be at 7 p.m. Donations for a youth mission trip will be accepted.

St. Paul Lutheran Church — All Saints Sunday, commemorating members who have entered glory during the past year, will be celebrated Sunday with Pastor Doug Bauman presenting the message, “For Whom the Bell Tolls” based on Revelation 7:9-17 Sunday at the 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services. The newly refurbished bell that hung in the 1887 church tower will be dedicated at the 8 a.m. service and rung for the first time from its newly built tower.
An extended Christian Fellowship Hour begins at 9:10 a.m. during which new members will be recognized. A congregational picture will be taken at 10:05 a.m. and all members, former members, frequent attenders and early childhood ministry families are encouraged to participate. The Spanish worship service will be in the fellowship room at 10:45 a.m. with Convivio (Life Together) at 12 noon.
Radio worship service is every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on WYGS 91.1 FM, which also broadcasts the Lutheran Hour every Sunday at 7 p.m.
