Edith Belle Wallace from Columbus, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was 100 years old.
Edith was born January 10, 1922, in Peoria, Illinois. After high school she lived in Chicago, Illinois, where she met her husband Larry W. Wallace. They were married on January 20, 1948.
Edith is preceded in death by her twin sister, Ethel; her husband Larry; and her second son, Charlie.
Edith is survived by her son Wayne Wallace of Columbus.
Edith was a long-standing member of Parkside Baptist church where she gave her life to the Lord Jesus, and was baptized. She was a devout Christian lady who loved her Bible and the Lord Jesus.
Edith was a resident of Silver Oaks Health Campus from June, 2013 to December, 2022. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, and coloring. Best of all she enjoyed her friends: Judy (her roommate), Donna, Lois, Mollie, June, nurses Deb and Scott, and all the RNs, LPNs, CNAs, PTs, and activities staff that added to her quality of life with loving care during her nine-year residency. She will be sadly missed.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no services.
