FRANKLIN, INDIANA FORMERLY OF COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Marcella Terry, 88, a resident of Franklin, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 1:16 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.
Marcella was born in Johnson County, Indiana, September 2, 1934, the loving daughter of the late Howard R. and Mabel Roberts Burkhart. On April 22, 1977, Marcella married John E. Terry; he preceded her in death October 6, 2013.
Marcella worked in the office at the former Golden Foundry in Columbus retiring in 2001 after 41 years of service. She was a faithful member of Columbus Baptist Church, and she attended the Friendship Baptist Church while living in Franklin. She enjoyed attending church and listening to gospel music.
Marcella will be remembered by her sister, Linda Breeding of Franklin and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly as her own.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mabel Burkhart; her husband of 36 years, John E. Terry; and her brother, Francis Burkhart.
In keeping with Marcella’s wishes, cremation is planned. There are no services planned for Marcella at this time. Inurnment will take place next to her husband at the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on State Road 158 in Silverville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions in memory of Marcella can be made to Columbus Baptist Church.
