Ferguson recorded 10 points and four rebounds and led the Bull Dogs with six assists in a 60-44 win against Terre Haute South.
His performance last week: “We had a little bit of a rough start, but we picked up our energy, and definitely in the fourth quarter, we were starting to hit our shots and were able to finish the game well.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just listen to some music and hang around my teammates before the game, which helps me get ready.”

Cassidy Furnish // Columbus East freshman swimmer
Cassidy Furnish
Furnish led the Olympians with wins in the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 14.64 seconds, and 500 freestyle in 6:02.98 in a 126-59 loss at East Central.
Her performance last week: “I had two really good swims, I thought. I was a little disappointed in my times, but I thought I pushed myself in both my events.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “The night before a meet, I usually go on MeetMobile and look at the team we are racing so I can get my mind set to race the next day.”
Favorite drink: “Dr. Pepper”
Favorite food: “Sushi.”
Favorite class: “Biology”
Favorite sports team: “Purdue basketball”
Favorite athlete: “Joe Burrow”
Role model: “A lot of the girls on the swim team are my role models, and then of course my coach Doug (Trueblood) and my club coach (Jennifer) Brinegar.”
Best advice: “Be consistent with your training and be patient because results aren’t always going to be immediate.’”
Athletics goal: “I want to go sub-5:30 in my 500 free by the end of the season.”
If you could travel anywhere: “The Maldives, because I think it’s a very pretty place and it’s a pretty beach country.”
