COLUMBUS
Stephen Paul Finnell, 79, of Columbus, died April 18, 2023, in Columbus, Indiana. Stephen was born August 24, 1943, in Wabash to the late Paul Finnell and Alice Brubaker Pickle.
Steve was united in marriage to Carole Maschino on July 14, 1968. Steve retired from Cummins after a 31-year career with them, he also served in the Navy. He immensely enjoyed watching Purdue Basketball and was a season ticket holder for the Indianapolis Colts. The greatest passion in his life was absolutely his family. He enjoyed family vacations to Pigeon Forge and of course, time spent with his grandsons. He was a member of East Columbus Christian Church, an avid Christian blogger, and enjoyed playing cards.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 55 years Carole; his daughters, Clarissa Finnell, and Autumn (Terry) Hileman; his grandsons, Ethan and Ezekiel Hileman; brother, James Finnell; and his sisters, Sandra Mullenix and Kathy (Mike) Alexander.
His parents and his parents-in-law Arthur and Emily Maschino precede him in death.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen with no services scheduled.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South-Central Indiana.
