The Columbus Police Department welcomed a new officer to the ranks after he was sworn in by Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop at the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting Tuesday.
Officer Cameron Curry (CPD #294) is a graduate of Columbus East High School and a former Columbus Police Department Law Enforcement Cadet. Curry later attended Kentucky Wesleyan College, where he played collegiate baseball and majored in criminal justice.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Curry was hired by the Michigan State Police, where he was a trooper for 3½ years.
Curry will start the Columbus Police Department’s field training program.
