Franciscan to offer flu shots

INDIANAPOLIS – In preparation for flu season, Franciscan Health is offering multiple drive-through flu shot clinics, which will be open to the public across central Indiana.

Patients 6 months and older can receive the flu vaccinations. Patients 5 years and older can receive the COVID (Pfizer) vaccine. Available vaccines include COVID as eligible, shingles, pneumonia and flu, with high-dose, egg-free, flu mist and quadrivalent options.

The flu shot clinics closest to Columbus are being held in the following locations:

  • 3 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, and 3 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Franciscan Physician Network Columbus Primary & Specialty Care parking lot, 123 Second St., Columbus.
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, at Franciscan Health Stones Crossing, 1703 W. Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood, in the parking lot on the west side of the building.

Those attending the drive-through clinics are asked to dress appropriately to receive their vaccine, bring their insurance card and be prepared to complete paperwork. Those with no insurance or self-pay will be charged $40 by cash, check or debit card. If requesting the COVID vaccine, bring proof of vaccination. Other charges could apply.
