TERRE HAUTE — Class 3A No. 7 Columbus North broke open a close game at halftime to pull away for a 4-0 Conference Indiana boys soccer win Saturday at Terre Haute North.
Christian Cardoso scored in the 31st minute off an assist from Aidan Whitley, and the Bull Dogs (7-2-2, 3-0) led 1-0 at the half.
In the first minute of the second half, Nico Gotoh scored off a rebound off the keeper from a Whitley shot. Whitley scored in the 46th minute off an assist from Gotoh. Misaki Takemoto added the final goal unassisted in the 49th minute.
Columbus North outshot the Patriots 34-4, putting 21 shots on goal to one for Terre Haute North. Juan Jose Salcedo Calderon recorded one save.
