The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. board will meet at 5:15 p.m. on Monday for a public work session on policy — not 5 p.m., as was previously discussed by board members.

According to a notice from BCSC officials, the board will hold a 5 p.m. closed session that night “to receive information about and interview prospective employees.”

The public work session will then be held at 5:15 p.m. in the boardroom of BCSC’s administration building. School board president Nicole Wheeldon said at a previous meeting that the session will likely include a continued discussion of policies regarding library books.

No final action will be taken during the work session.

The board’s regular meeting will then be held at 6:30 p.m. in the administration building’s Terrace Room, with a livestream available on YouTube. The agenda currently includes a teacher retention report, a vote on policy revisions on wellness and reporting student progress, and a resolution to adopt an amended health trust agreement.

The two policy revisions that are up for approval were discussed at the board’s Sept. 11 work session, with the board agreeing that more time was needed to review one policy draft and revise the other. As such, these policies may also be a topic of conversation during Monday’s session on policy.
