We invite you to the FIRST EVER FREE dog festival at Mill Race Park.  There will be food, fun, and games for all! Nala Palooza is a festival to raise funds for the Nala Fund, which helps pay for medical care for dogs in need.

For just $10, you can sign up for our Poker Run, where you will receive a map showing five locations inside Mill Race Park. You can walk, run, or bike to these stations to learn about dogs and receive a playing card. Register for the Poker Run before Oct. 5th to get a FREE T-SHIRT! All Poker Run players receive 1 Week FREE at CrossFit Ripcord, FREE T-shirt (sign-up by Oct. 5th), FREE food from Wendy’s & Jaggers, and Raffle Ticket for MANY more prizes! Top 5 Poker Run Players win a giant pumpkin and over $300 in prizes!

We have many other activities at the festival including dog demos, FREE Dog Microchipping, bouncy house, face painting, 20+ vendors, crafts for all ages( ever your dogs), games, balloon animals, and so much more!  Plan to eat your lunch and dessert at Food Trucks from Party Chef and Miss Rachel’s Sweet Treats – a portion of your purchase will benefit the Nala Fund!

We will be having a free dog costume contest at 11:45 a.m. Bring your pup in the cutest, creepiest, funniest, or extravagant costume.

Dog Costume Winners will receive:

1st place: $100 gift basket from Columbus Pet Salon

2nd place: $100 Upland dog basket

3rd place:  Jar of Cute Dog Treats from Sugar Bayer’s Cookie Co.

4th place: Jar of cute Dog Treats from Sugar Bayer’s Cookie Co.

This event is co-hosted by Analytical Engineering, Inc. (AEI), The Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County, and the Columbus Parks & Rec Dept.  Columbus Signature Academy students Janelly Villalobos and Kaydence Stockelman are leading the Nala Palooza for their senior project.  100% of all proceeds will go to the Nala Fund (www.nalafund.com) to provide medical care for dogs in need.
