Bartholomew County

Sing and Play with Allie Jean — 10 to 10:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Little ones are invited to Sing & Play with Allie Jean. Registration is requested, please register each child who will be attending.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) No. 168 — 10 to 11:45 a.m., St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth St., Columbus.

Music with Valerie — 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join music therapist, Valerie Jones, as she guides the group through well-known songs with gentle movement and participation. Registration is recommended.

Notary available at Hope Library — 2 to 3 p.m., Hope Branch Library, 635 Harrison St., Hope. Come to Hope Branch Library on Fridays from 2 to 3 p.m. to get items notarized by staff member notary Jennifer Pardue. Please bring photo ID. This is a Hope walk-in hour with no appointment required.

Tween Stitch Camp — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Tweens can join library staff to learn and practice the basics of both crocheting and knitting. Beginners welcome, no experience needed. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Teen Anime Club — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Discuss your favorite anime and manga with others. We will select an anime to watch together after a short group discussion. Snacks and drinks provided.

The Jokers — 6 to 7 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join us on the Library Plaza for a concert by The Jokers. Bring your own chairs. This event can also be viewed live at facebook.com/mybcpl.

Comedy fundraiser — 7 p.m., Crump Theater, 425 Third St., Columbus. Dave “The King” Wilson is headlining a comedy show. Local comic, Jan Tatlock will open and Chris Cline will feature. The show is hosted by Dave Cross. Tickets are $15 at the door. Proceeds go to help save the Crump.

Jennings County

Ghost Walk — 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Jennings County Historical Society, 134 E. Brown St., Vernon. Reservations are not required for the Ghost Walk and tickets are available at the historical society’s museum. Local students perform folklore and ghost stories around the square.

Mystery Dinner — 7 p.m., Jennings County Historical Society, 134 E. Brown St., Vernon. Dinner guests will enjoy delicious food served in a most mysterious, theatrical atmosphere. This year’s theme is Hollywood Horror!
