Bull Dogs open season in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON — The Columbus North wrestlers opened their season by going 2-3 in Saturday’s Bloomington Invitational at Bloomington South.

The Bull Dogs opened with a 41-24 win against Pike before falling to Class 4A No. 3 Center Grove 70-12, Martinsville 45-25 and 3A No. 9 Bloomington South 53-27 and beating Bedford North Lawrence 42-28.

Justice Thornton (138 pounds) went 5-0 for the Bull Dogs. Cohen Long (132), Asher Ratliff (157) and Alex Lozano (285) all went 4-1; while Liam Curfman (113), Eric Streeval (150) and Koleton Sinnock (175/190) all went 3-2.
