Master gardener program
set to begin Feb. 7
The Purdue Extension Master Gardener Program’s next class begins Feb. 7 and runs for 14 weeks.
The program trains gardening enthusiasts as volunteers to assist Purdue Extension with home horticulture education in Indiana communities. Purdue Extension Master Gardeners are “Helping Others Grow!”

North student nominated
to US Naval Academy
Columbus North student Fisher Mantooth has been nominated to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland by US Sen. Todd Young.
Mantooth was one of 150 students who applied for a nomination. “Out of 77 offered interviews, 51 exemplary young men and women from across Indiana received a nomination,” Young’s office said.
