ST. LEON — The Columbus North girls swimmers took the title, and the Bull Frog boys finished second in Saturday’s East Central Relays.
North’s girls scored 72 points to edge New Palestine (70) and East Central (68). New Palestine won the boys meet with 80 points to 62 for the Bull Frogs.
For the North girls, Mridula Muthukumaran, Ainsley Sherlock, Sanaa Kulkarni and Georgia Abdallah won the 200-yard medley relay (2 minutes, 1.41 seconds); Katie Frazier, Kara Buntin, Emma Glyn-Jones and Max Andrews took the 100 freestyle relay (55.13) and Muthukumaran, Sherlock and Kulkarni captured the 400 medley relay (4:42.53).
Boys winners were Aarush Mahato, Jude Abdallah, Brock Smith and Isaac Proffitt in the 200 medley relay (1:47.48); Smith, Mahato and Proffitt in the 150 butterfly relay (1:17.33) and Abdallah, David Zhang, Nicolas Bowers and Hudson Clock in the 400 freestyle relay (3:48.75).
