COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Eileen M. Tooley, 63, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Eileen was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, June 13, 1960, the fourth child born to Peter and Jeanine Fillenwarth Cangany. On August 13, 1988, Eileen married Brad Tooley; he survives.
Eileen was currently working in customer service at R &R Technologies in Edinburgh. Eileen was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She supported and enjoyed Columbus East football when her sons played; she was affectionately known as “Mama Tools”. Eileen had a passion for sprint car racing and she even had an opportunity to drive a sprint car during a race. Eileen also enjoyed any day she could go fishing.
Eileen’s life will be cherished by her husband of 35 years, Brad; children, Kristy (Lonny) Burton, Chris (Renae) Denton, Donald (Haley) Tooley and Daniel Tooley; grandchildren, Baylen, Haley, Dakota, Carter and Madelyn; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Greyson, Mariah, Addisyn, Leighton and Mason; siblings, Cathy (Glenn) Scott, Pete (Ann) Cangany, Kevin Cangany, Carol (Pat) Huesman, David (Natalie) Cangany, Patty (Jim) Hancock and John (Jackie) Cangany; an aunt, Sister Joseph Fillenwarth; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Mary Cangany; and an aunt, Sister Pat Fillenwarth.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Father Chris Wadelton will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Eileen will be laid to rest at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cance Society.
