National Weather Service forecasting gusty winds tonight, possible snow showers

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management said the National Weather Service is forecasting gusty winds in excess of 40 mph tonight, with the possibility of snow.

The National Weather Service said sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph are forecast with sporadic wind gusts of more than 40 mph possible for all of central Indiana from 10 p.m. Tuesday night through 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Snow showers are expected during this time period and with the wind could cause brief periods of low visibility for motorists, according to emergency management.
