The male is identified as Pascual Felipe-Miguel, 16, of Seymour, and the female is identified as Kelli C. Rendon, 18, of Seymour, according to an updated incident release from Lt. C.J. Foster.

At this time, Rendon’s medical status is unknown, and it is believed that carbon monoxide poisoning is a contributing factor, Foster said.

The vehicle that Felipe-Miguel and Rendon were in is still being examined, and investigators are following up on information.

The cause and manor of death is pending as the investigation is ongoing and investigators await toxicology results, Foster said.

The investigation began at 8:18 a.m. Tuesday when patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Shields Avenue, where two individuals were found unconscious in a vehicle.

When officers arrived at the scene, two people were found unresponsive. Jackson County Emergency Medical Services and Seymour Fire Department personnel were called to the scene, Foster said.
