Several shelter dogs from Bartholomew County found new lives in Eastern states that were facing adoptable pet shortages. The effort was part of a larger, south-central Indiana program known as CanINE Express, based in Brown County.

An exhibition of colored quilts inspired by playing card designs was featured at the Indianapolis Museum of Art-Columbus Gallery at The Commons. The exhibition, titled “Full Deck of Art Quilts,” was featured through March 21.

Garry Beasley was chosen as the Boy of the Month for November, and Michael Corya was chosen as the Boy of the Month for December by the Columbus Metropolitan Exchange Club. The club aimed to recognize young men with outstanding qualities of leadership, scholarship, talent and industry.
