Semi carrying fabric softener rolls on I-65

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies were sent to the 76 mile marker of I-65 for a semi rollover accident which blocked one northbound lane Thursday at about 7:19 p.m.

The driver of the semi suffered a head injury and required medical attention, Sgt. Dane Duke, Bartholomew County Sheriff Department spokesman said.

The semi was carrying 40,000 pounds of fabric softener, but the load did not spill into the median, Duke said.
The fabric softener had to be unloaded by hand by personnel from the responding wrecker service, which required the interstate to be restricted to one lane for several hours.
