Hansons stay perfect in broomball league

Hansons ran its record to 9-0 in the Columbus Broomball League with a 3-2 win against Monsters of Rock on Sunday.

Keith Henry, Ryan Jepson and Matt Psota had the goals for Hansons. Zach Henerson and Thomas Andre scored for Monsters (7-2).

Jennings County BC (3-4-2) blanked Our Name Is Earl (3-6) 6-0. Darien Castetter netted three goals, and Kyle Hunteman, Skyler Mathews and Deagan Kaiser all added one for Jennings.

CCA topped Toyota Tsunamis 4-2. Greg Thomas scored two goals, and Scott Herron and Shawn Bauman each added one for CCA (3-5-1). Greg McNealy and Collin Graeber had the goals for Tsunamis (0-8-1).

Panthers fall to Cubs

The Jennings County seventh- and eighth-grade JV boys basketball teams fell to Madison on Thursday.

Barrett Stoner led the seventh-graders (4-9) with 12 points in a 39-38 loss. Maliki Blount and Jonah Kreutzjans each added seven.

Asher Morin led the seventh-graders (3-13) with nine points in a 433-28 defeat. Landon Pickett added eight.

On Tuesday, the Panther seventh-graders beat Bedford North Lawrence 33-30, and the eighth-graders fell 39-13. Blount led the seventh-graders with 11 points, while Barrett Stoner added seven. Cameron Tichenor and Cameron Patterson each scored four for the seventh-graders.

The seventh-graders were coming off a 45-14 loss to Crothersville on Monday. Blount scored 17 points, while Ryan Elmer had 11 and Stoner added seven.
