Hansons top CCA, improve to 11-0

Hansons ran its record to 11-0 in the Columbus Broomball League with a 5-1 win against CCA on Sunday.

Max Warr scored two goals, and Keith Henry, Matt Street and Matt Psota all added one for Hansons. Greg Thomas had the goal for CCA (4-6-1).

Monsters of Rock beat Jennings County BC 8-2. Ben Eckhart netted three goals for Monsters (9-2), while Kyle Roshak had two and Zach Henderson, Tyler Rash and Thomas Andre all added one. Skyler Mathews and Mark Latta scored for Jennings (3-6-2).

Our Name Is Earl (4-7) topped Toyta Tsunamis 7-3 behind two goals apiece from Gabe Marsh and Darren Eckerty and one each from Nikki Jones, Adam Maas and Nick Sutherlin. Greg McNealy, Dalton McNealy and Jimmy Robertson had the goals for Tsunamis (0-10-1).

BASKETBALL

Panthers sweep Seymour

Jennings County’s seventh- and eighth-grade JV teams swept Seymour on Thursday, with the eighth-graders winning 48-31 and the seventh-graders prevailing 35-16.

Rodney Benham led the Panther eighth-graders (5-14) with 20 points. Bladen Wagner scored 14, and Barrett Stoner added eight to lead the seventh-graders (6-11).
