IU Columbus, Cummins sponsor diversity program

The Six Sigma Racial Equity Institute in partnership with Indiana University Columbus has announced its fourth Green Belt Cohort for an innovative leadership initiative is to upskill the Indianapolis Black community, specifically Black working women who live or work in Indianapolis.

A total of 17 women were chosen to participate in the program.

IU Columbus will provide the instructors and curriculum for a course that will be taught by IU Columbus professor Jon Padfield, Six Sigma said. The organization said Padfield has extensive background in Six Sigma and experience working on racial equity issues.

In addition to IU Columbus’ participation, Columbus-based Cummins Inc. also is one of a dozen sponsors.

The seventeen women who will participate in the 2024 Cohort 4 program are Bridgett Hudson, Tracey Jones, Anastasia Oguntade, Ashlee D. Weaver, Brittany Veal, Camike Jones, Christina M. Cheeks, Dionne Leard, Dionne M. Smith, Dr. Nataki Pettigrew, Kelly Doucet, Kristie Johnson, Lakisha Molin, LaShatá Grayson, Marie Wright, Monica Ohieku-Johnson and Robin Coleman.
