Hundreds of motorcyclists joined Gov. Mike Pence in Mill Race Park for Ride with the Governor, which started in Indianapolis. The ride wound through Bartholomew County, stopped in Columbus for an hour, then continued through Seymour and ended in Madison.

Lula Young’s rubber duck was the first to cross the finish line in the Foundation for Youth’s second annual duck race in Haw Creek. At least 7,000 rubber ducks competed for prizes, and Young took home $10,000 for her win.

Kathryn Banister of Columbus was crowned as Bartholomew County Senior Fair Queen at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair. Banister was chosen by a panel of three judges, Mary Dickey, Sam Simmermaker and Catherine Lee, for having the most “personality and pep.”
