MARTINSVILLE — Columbus Christian opened its volleyball season Saturday with a pair of losses in the Martinsville Tabernacle Christian Tournament.
The Crusaders fell to Suburban Christian 25-13, 25-21 and Heritage Hall 19-25, 25-17, 15—9.
Emma Murray led Columbus Christian with 1o kills and six aces. Mara Nickerson recorded 11 assists, Bella Frederickson had two blocks and Emma Rice notched 11 digs.
Frederickson also tallied four kills and three aces, and Murray had one solo and one assist block and eight digs. Abby Dora contributed eight assists, and Katie Bond added one block assist
The Crusdaers will host Fortune Academy on Tuesday.
