Columbus police investigating a shooting in the 1900 block of Wallace Avenue, no one was injured

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Wallace Avenue. At 9:39 p.m. Monday, CPD officers were called to a shots fired incident, said Sgt. Skylar Berry, Columbus police spokesman.

The initial investigation indicates the suspect shot a firearm from a dark colored sedan. No one was injured during the shooting, but a home and a vehicle were struck with bullets.

The investigation is still ongoing. At this time, police believe this to be an isolated incident. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact Detective Kummer at 812-376-2632.
