Hooks and Needles Meetup — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. All types of needle crafters are invited to gather, create and socialize. Come hang out, share your project and ideas, or learn a new craft.
Prepare for Battle — 2 to 3:30 p.m., Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. Learn different techniques of painting tabletop gaming figures. Learn to Play Hockey — 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena, 2501 Lincoln Park Drive, Columbus. Children ages 4 to 10 can learn the basic skills of hockey without an over emphasis on winning. Free equipment is available to use, cost is $5 per child. Arrive 30 minutes early to get fitted for equipment.
