Donna Mae Jones, 84, passed away peacefully at 2:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.
Born March 31, 1940, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Blanche Perry. She married Steven L. Jones July 21, 1956; he preceded her in death April 27, 2006.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, forming working at G&E Greenhouse, and Roviar. She enjoyed reading, riding horses, gardening, sewing, and country music.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son-in-law, Jeff Robertson; grandson, Steven “Trey” Jones III; great-grandson, Jacob Pratt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mitch (Sarah) Perry, Sam (Lizzy) Perry, Charlie (Charlene) Perry, and Marshall (Dymphna) Perry.
She is survived by her children; sons, Tim (Kim) Jones and Bud (Julie) Jones of Florida, Steve (Mercy) Jones II of South Carolina; daughters, Teresa Robertson and Becky (Greg) Grace of Columbus; grandchildren, Heather (John) Pratt of Oklahoma, James (Jenn) Robertson of Whiteland, Jade (Jennifer) Jones of South Carolina, Kelly (Brandon) Richardson of Georgia, Adam Jones and Jeremy (Kailey) Johnson of Florida, Becca (Andrew) Johnson, Travis (Courtney) Grace, and Tyler (Brooke) Grace of Columbus; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver, &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the David Burnett officiating. Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
