HOPE
Brenda Sue Humbel, 64 of Hope passed away Friday September 6, 2024 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born February 18, 1960 in Greensburg she was the daughter of William Emerson Phares and Mary Joan Essex Rollins.
Brenda had previously been employed at UPS for 17 years and had worked in the catering business in various locations.
She had attended Hope First Wesleyan Church.
Brenda is survived by daughter, Emily (Shane) Campbell of Hope; granddaughters, Peyton and Haylin Campbell, both of Hope; sisters, Stephanie Bowers of Columbus, Bobbi (John) Dailey of Hope and Teresa Hadley of Hope; several step and half siblings and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned and there will be a memorial visitation for Brenda Saturday from 5 to 7 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. A memorial service will follow at 7 pm and will be officiated by Pastor John Marquis.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201 or through the funeral home.
Brenda loved spending time with her family and helping those in need. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sunflowers and watching Haylin play sports and do other activities.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, William Emerson Phares; her mother and step father, Mary Joan and Jerry Rollins; her brother, Craig Phares; her son, Joshawa Coy and her grandparents.
