FLOYDS KNOBS — Columbus East finished fifth, and Jennings County took sixth in Monday’s Hoosier Hills Conference girls golf tournament at Valley View.
Host Floyd Central won with a 305. New Albany finished second with a 334, followed by Bedford North Lawrence (341), Seymour (388), East (436) and Jennings (468). Jeffersonville did not score as a team.
The Olympians played without top golfer Grace LaSell, who was undergoing kidney dialysis in Indianapolis. Sophia Begley led East with a 100, while Abby King carded a 102, Allison Sharpe added a 111, Amaylie Walsh shot 125 and Sofia Perez had a 127.
Grace Oden led the Panthers with a 98. Amilia Gresham carded a 118, Aslynn Hopkins added a 119, Temprance Eggleston shot 113 and Abbie Dunham had a 136.
The Olympians will visit Columbus North for a dual match Tuesday at Harrison Lake Country Club.
