Eagles outlast Jets in five sets

NASHVILLE — Hauser twice battled back from one-set deficits Tuesday, but Brown County pulled out a 25-12, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-11 volleyball victory.

Dylan Lucas recorded two assists and 19 digs, and Ella East had two assists and five aces to lead the Eagles (2-6). Grace Johnson pounded eight kills, and Hailee Darnell notched 19 digs.

Also for Brown County, Aubree Denton tallied six kills and four aces, and East had five kills and Johnson added 12 digs and three aces.

Charleston Gelfius led the Jets (3-15) with 15 kills, two blocks and eight aces. Leah Manley recorded 11 assists, and Maylee Jordan notched 17 digs.

Also for Hauser, Kaysie Kistler tallied five kills and five aces, and Madaline Wilmer had four kills and nine assists. Kaidenze Shoaf contributed four kills and three aces, Baylee Riley added six assists and three aces and Jordan served three aces.
