Planned Indiana 6th District forum to be broadcast live Wednesday

A planned forum for Indiana’s 6th Congressional District will now be broadcast live.

The Leagues of Women Voters of Hancock, Henry, and Johnson Counties, and the League of Women Voters of Indianapolis in coordination with Woof Boom Radio will sponsor a forum for candidates running in the 6th Congressional District. The district includes Fayette, Hancock, Henry, Johnson, Rush, Shelby, Union, and Wayne counties, and parts of Bartholomew, Marion, and Randolph counties.

The forum will be held at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St., Greenfield, at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Doors open for the event at 5:30 p.m., according to the League of Women Voters.

The public is invited to hear the candidates in person. The audience will have the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates as well.

All three candidates, Libertarian James Sceniak, Republican Jefferson Shreve, and Democrat Cynthia Wirth were invited. Sceniak and Wirth have agreed to participate.

The forum will also now be broadcast live on 92.5 FM, 101.1 FM, and 1340 AM. To listen on a computer or mobile device, go to wmunmuncie.com and click on “Listen Live.” This will go to a Sports and Talk for Muncie (securenetsystems.net) page.

A recording of the live presentation will be available as early as the next day on WMUN by using the “Replay any hour” feature.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization. Founded in 1920, its ongoing major activities include registering voters, providing voter information, boosting voter turnout and advocating for voting rights.
