GREENWOOD — After a slow start, Columbus East was competitive with Class 4A No. 7 Center Grove in the third set Tuesday in a 25-8, 25-10, 25-20 volleyball defeat.
Kimberly Carothers pounded three kills, Krea Martin recorded four assists, Lilah Klei had two solo blocks and Chloe Gill served three aces to lead the Olympians (3-15).
Also for East, Gill and Anika Jenkins each notched two kills and one block assist. Carothers added one solo block.
