The annual Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised more than $76,900 to fund Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. Participants walked 1 mile around Mill Race Park and learned about the disease and the latest research.

1999

Columbus posed as Evansville during filming of “Madison,” a movie about the 1971 Regatta. Filming took place inside National City Bank and Bartholomew Circuit Judge Stephen Heimann’s office at the courthouse.

1974

The Central Indiana chapter of Fur Takers of America held its annual meeting at Heflen Park along the Driftwood River between Taylorsville and Edinburgh. The meeting included dealer shows, demonstrations and a hog roast.
