2014

The mayor of Columbus, the Columbus Board of Aviation Commissioners, members of the Columbus Education Coalition and representatives from Annex Student Living LLC attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the first Columbus student housing facility at the Columbus AirPark.

1999

The 32nd annual Hope Heritage Days festival opened on Hope Town Square, which attracted about 40,000 visitors. Everything from arts and crafts to food was sold during the event, including candles, dolls, candy and cookies.

1974

The helium-filled balloon art released prior to the dedication of “Second Storey,” the Columbus extension of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, was found on a fence bordering John Perkins’ farm in Butlerville.
