Trinity tops Panthers, wins invitational

SEYMOUR — Class A No. 1 Trinity Lutheran won its own invitational Saturday, beating Jennings County 25-19, 25-21 and Mitchell 25-9, 25-9.

Laura Roeder led the Cougars (16-6) with 19 digs and three aces. Carson Bowling pounded 17 kills, Addie Darlage recorded 46 assists and Rachel Bonde had four blocks.

Also for Trinity, Rachel Bonde and Madison Keith each tallied 12 kills, and Bailey Bonde had three blocks. Darlage notched 14 digs and two aces, Maddie Adams added six digs and Marley Warren served one ace.

Jennings bounced back from the loss to Trinity with a 25-4, 25-8 win against Mitchell.

Avynn Belding led the Panthers (19-3) with 18 kills and one block. Mallory Manowitz notched 15 digs, and Aylah Belding and Lilly Franks each served three aces.
