Crimson Pride stop Oakland City in 4 sets

IU Columbus picked up its third consecutive win and its second in as many days to open the River States Conference volleyball season Saturday with a 25-18, 17-25, 25-13, 25-18 win against Oakland City at Nexus Park.

Cora Baker pounded 14 kills, Sadie Egan recorded 18 assists, Kera Wischmeier had six blocks, Alyvia Luce notched 14 digs and Addison Lemon served four aces to lead the Crimson Pride (6-3, 2-0). Brown County graduate Abigail Watson added eight kills.

IUC will visit IU Kokomo on Tuesday and IU Southeast on Friday before returning home to play Brescia at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at Ceraland.
